The Open Source Software for Innovation and Collaboration SIG (OSSIC SIG) is launching a series of Capability Building Workshops for SCS members. The first in the series is on Open Source Database for Enterprises which will be held on 29 April from 8.30am to 1.00pm at SCS Resource Centre. 

 

Please note that we are extending it FREE for the first 15 registrations from the SCS Student Chapters.

Financial assistance (FA) is currently open for students

Application for financial assistance (FA) is currently open for students.

This year, the quantum of bursaries has been increased and the criteria revised to benefit more students.

Student Services Centre (SSC) strongly encourages all eligible students from lower-income families to apply for one of these bursaries.

Details and eligibility criteria for the various FA schemes are found on www.sp.edu.sg/financialassistance.
In summary, there are 3 main application exercises:

SP-Administered Bursaries/Scholarships from Donors (Now open!)
Application period: 11-29 April
Quantum: $1,800 - $3,000

CDC/CCC-Polytechnic Bursary
Application period: 16-24 May (may be extended, pending MOE’s approval)
Quantum: $1,800

MOE Bursary
Application period: From Jun 2011 – Mar 2012
Quantum: $450 or $1,350 (depending on family income)

All applications are done first on mySAS (or MIKE>e-Services), followed by submission of supporting documents to SSC for endorsement.
