The Microsoft UP (Unlimited Potential) Scholarship for People with Disabilities

Dear students

We would like to let you know about the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Scholarship for People with Disabilities.

This scholarship was introduced in 2009 to inspire talented youths with disabilities to pursue their interest in Infocomm Technology (IT), without financial concerns. This enables persons with disabilities to achieve their fullest potential and to work towards employment after their graduation.

The scholarship funds complete course fees and all related examination fees up to a cap of $7,500 per annum, for students pursuing full-time studies in IT in the local Polytechnics or Universities. In addition, this scholarship provides $750 per annum for purchase of textbooks and related study materials. Scholars from low income families (per capita household income not exceeding $700 per month) may apply for Microsoft Specific Assistance of up to S$3,000 per annum, subject to means testing and the approval of the Microsoft Unlimited Potential Scholarship and Certification Training Grant Review Panel.

The scholarship is now open for application for youths with disabilities studying full-time in the local Polytechnics and Universities in IT. The closing date for application is 30 June 2012.
